Sometimes the front of a house just stops working for you. The old shrubs get overgrown, the beds look tired, and no amount of trimming fixes it. That's exactly where this Fishers home was before we got started.

We pulled out the existing shrubs and started fresh. New shrubs went in along the foundation, spaced out thoughtfully so there's room to grow without crowding. We also added a small ornamental tree near the corner of the bed - a nice anchor for the whole planting layout. Getting the plant selection and spacing right from the start is what separates a bed that looks good for years from one that becomes a headache in two seasons.

The mulch makes a huge difference here. Fresh dark mulch laid clean across the entire bed gives everything a finished, polished look. It also does real work - holding moisture, keeping weeds down, and protecting the new root systems as they get established. Natural fieldstone borders the bed edge along the front, giving it a defined shape without feeling overdone.

We also addressed drainage at the same time by installing three downspouts. That's the kind of thing that gets overlooked when you're focused on how the yard looks, but it matters a lot for keeping the beds - and the foundation - in good shape long term. Good drainage protects your landscaping investment.

The result is a front yard that looks sharp and is set up to stay that way. Clean lines, fresh color, and plants that have a real shot at thriving. That's the goal on every job we do.
